We’re so glad you’re interested in First Baptist St. Pete! If you’re considering a visit, we want you to know you’ll be our valued guest and the information below should help make your visit better. Of course, if you have any questions, please email our Associate Pastor John Rice.
Sunday at 10:30 AM is our Worship Service is for all generations. We blend traditional hymns with contemporary arrangements sung with our FBC Orchestra. On every first Sunday of the month, we observe the Lord’s Supper and our children from kindergarten through 5th grade join us.
Where are we located?
We are located at 1900 Gandy Blvd North in St Petersburg. Click on the Google maps link and it’ll bring you directly to us.
When you arrive, you can park in the Main Parking Lot area in front of the Worship Center. There are marked guest spots for you to use right up front. If this parking lot is full, you can continue on the Frontage Road past the Worship Center into our West Parking Lot.
How to Dress:
We have a casual “dress code” at First Baptist St. Pete.
You’ll find people dressed in shorts and flip flops, all the way to people dressed in a full coat and tie.
Dress how you feel comfortable! We think you’ll find no one judging you by how you dress. We’re more about focusing attention on worshipping God!
What to Expect in Our Worship Service:
Our Worship Service is usually anywhere from 60-75 minutes from start to finish. We typically get out around 11:40-11:45 AM.
We encourage you to arrive early so you don’t miss any of the elements at the beginning of the service.
Our Worship Service features familiar hymns and contemporary music all ages will enjoy. Each service also has a special performance by our Sanctuary Choir, an ensemble, and/or a soloist.
Message / Teaching
The message includes Bible-based, relevant teaching from Senior Pastor Glen Money. Pastor Glen is a natural storyteller and wants to share God’s love with you, teach you how God wants us all to share God’s love with the world.
First Baptist St. Pete cares deeply about your children!
We’ve created age-appropriate environments just for them and we’re pretty confident they’ll have fun!
If it’s your first time, just visit the Welcome Desk and someone will be more than happy to help you get your child to their destination.
Our children from birth to PreK meet on the main floor in the Children’s Wing, and our Elementary-aged children meet on the second level.
We have Sunday School every Sunday starting at 9 AM for all children, and at 10:30 AM, while the adults are in Worship, our children from Kindergarten through 5th grade enjoy FirstKIDS Worship on the second floor in the Children’s Worship area!
Important Scheduling Note: On the first Sunday of each month, our elementary-aged children are invited to attend 1030 Worship with their families. This will allow our children to experience at least once a month, the ‘wonderment’ of Worship together as the entire FBC Family!
Check out our FirstKIDS page for more!
Our FirstYouth Student Ministry has a Bible Study group every Sunday, on the second level in Room 205. All students, 6th through 12th grade, are invited to join us!
Students will go to our main Worship Service at 10:30 AM with their families or guardians.
Check out our FirstYouth page for more!
How early should I arrive?
If you have children, we recommend that you arrive 20 minutes early. This will give you plenty of time to park, get your children checked-in, and get to your Bible Study or Worship Service. If you don’t have children with you, 10 minutes early will be enough time.
Of course, we’d love for you to arrive early and also remain after worship to get to know our folks!
What if I want to learn more about First Baptist Church?
You can learn a lot about us online!
Where should I go when I arrive?
We’d love to know you’re here and help you find your way. Visit the Welcome Desk in the Belltower and we’ll show you the ropes!
Are there any refreshments?
Yes! We serve pastries, coffee, water, and juice in the Narthex (Foyer) before our Worship Service. Our people love to use the time before worship to fellowship and meet new people.
What is expected of me?
If you’re our guest, we want you to feel at home and part of the FBC Family. Don’t feel obligated to do anything you’re uncomfortable with.
If you need to sit during the music? No problem, go right ahead. If you’re not comfortable with participating in Communion (the Lord’s Supper) then simply allow the tray pass.
You’ll find that the First Baptist St. Pete is non-judgmental and we love for our guests to come back because we accept people where they are in life.
One more thing: During Worship, we ask that you simply complete the Connect Card inside your Worship Guide/Bulletin and drop it in the Offering plate or hand it to an Usher.
