Promiseland Preschool

Promiseland Preschool was organized as a ministry of First Baptist Church of St. Petersburg. Through planned activities, our goals are to offer an enriching academic program to guide the development of preschoolers socially, emotionally, physically, intellectually, and spiritually. It is our belief that our preschool must provide a safe and happy environment with qualified, loving, and concerned personnel. Our stimulating activities and experiences prepare the child for future educational processes and are presented in a fun manner that helps encourage a positive self-image.

Our Staff:

The staff of Promiseland Preschool is dedicated to providing the highest quality and standards of Early Childhood Education. All staff are members of the National Association of the Education of Young Children which provides valuable information of the constant research and laws that pertain to this field. We strive to hire only the most dedicated and warm teachers that will create a classroom with an age-appropriate and loving environment where all of our children will be excited about learning.

Developmentally Appropriate Curriculum:

Teaching is a process that requires setting self-defined goals, allowing flexibility, and lending itself to continuous evaluation. This is achieved by identifying areas of cognition, providing age-appropriate experiences, selecting relevant materials which support the premise of meeting the child where he/she is and taking him/her from there to the next level. More specifically, there should be concern for the worth, value and dignity of each individual and the recognition that group interaction is a fundamental need that is a basis to our society. A child's mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual growth is always our goal.
