While we support all the CBF Field Personnel through our Offering for Global Missions support, we make an additional direct financial commitment and have a deeper ongoing relationship with Rick & Ellen Burnette with whom we have an “Encourager Church” relationship. Rick & Ellen serve in Immokalee, Florida through their ministry called Cultivate Abundance.

To ensure year round access to nutritious, locally grown produce, Cultivate Abundance promotes home and community gardening in Immokalee, Florida’s migrant worker neighborhoods. Cultivate Abundance also equips and mobilizes an alliance of Southwest Florida gardeners to harvest and share quality, surplus, homegrown produce with their Immokalee neighbors, thereby feeding people and preventing the waste of food.
