Harry F. Robbins Scholarship

The Harry F. Robbins Scholarship, established by Margaret & David Perry Foundation to honor Mrs. Perry’s father, provides funds to support students pursuing college, technical school, or seminary. Applicants must be active in the life of First Baptist Church of St Petersburg, be known as a person of strong character and Christian values, demonstrate significant leadership and service to others, and display high academic standards and achievement. Please complete the form below to be considered for the scholarship. While merit recognition is the scholarship’s primary purpose, Mr. and Mrs. Perry always considered and addressed the needs of others, and accordingly a recipient’s need will also be appropriately factored into the final selection.

Harry F. Robbins, Sr. was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of St. Petersburg where he was a Sunday School teacher for 50 years. He was associate superintendent of a junior department of the Sunday School from 1954 until his death, director of the Junior Training Union for 18 years, member of the finance and building committees, and a deacon of the church from 1928 until his death. He also served as a member of the pastor search committee that recommended James F. Graves in 1971. Mr. Robbins founded St. Petersburg Map and Blue Print Company in 1924 and was active in the family business for the remainder of his life. He was also active in the community through Boy Scouts and served as President of the Kiwanis Club.
