Jesus said, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation." (Mark 16:15) and later Jesus said, "you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” (Acts 1:8)
As the church body of FBC St Pete, we take both of these charges from Jesus to heart. We desire to be involved, to embrace, to support missions locally, statewide, and throughout the world in order to proclaim His Gospel of Grace to all creation.
Local Missions
Our involvement in our Local Community missions offers a variety of opportunities for 'hands on' experience and to actively serve in Missions right here in Pinellas County.

Food Pantry at FBC - Our Mission is to provide food and a variety of products for families to use in their homes. At the Food Pantry, we believe that no one should have to go hungry. Whether you’re homeless, underemployed, a parent with children, veteran, senior citizen, or just going through a challenging time in life, we do not turn anyone away.
The FBC St Pete Food Pantry serves individuals and families in the Pinellas County region. With the support of our church members, grants, community sponsors and other donors, we have provided food for thousands of individuals in need of assistance.
The Food Pantry is staffed completely by a wonderful group of volunteers and a very generous community. Due to our volunteer staff and the generous support of FBC St Pete, all gifts and monetary contributions to the food pantry go to purchasing food, operation of the pantry, and sustaining its mission. Family Promise of Pinellas County - We partner with FPPC to help local families without homes regain their independence by providing secure, safe, temporary housing while the parents work with case managers, counselors and service agencies in order to return the family to a stable home and a healthy sustainable lifestyle.

Serve St Pete - Four times a year we gather as a church body on a Saturday with the direct focus of simply serving our greater community. In the past, FBC Serve St Pete has been involved with the St Petersburg Free Clinic, the City's desire to clean out waterways, Micah Center of Pinellas County, Assisted Living Facilities, and Habitat for Humanity.
We also schedule a variety of Mission Opportunities around our local community on a regular basis. Check back for developing and ongoing plans.
Florida Missions
Our involvement in Florida missions involves ministries in various locations from the Keys to Jacksonville. Being part of CBF of Florida and the Suncoast Baptist Association allows FBC the opportunity to lock arms with other believers across the state to spread the name of Jesus, to be the presence of Christ and to serve our brothers and sisters.

Touching Miami With Love - This center is located in the poorest section of the City of Miami. They minister to the neighborhood and seek to assist youth there to break the cycle of drugs and gangs. Christmas 2018, we participated with TML to provide 'Boxes for Success' which encouraged Middle and High School student to further their education.
Open House Ministries – Located in Homestead, this faith-based organization ministers to adults and children living in migrant housing all around the area. Summers offer opportunities to help with weekly Vacation Bible Schools. The center also houses a Free Clinic run by Open Door Clinic, a “building partner” that provides medical care to the uninsured and the under-insured.
Disaster Response – Through CBF of Florida and SBC Disaster Relief, we support these ministries as they respond to natural disasters around our State and Nation. Volunteers assist when the need arises.

Worldwide Missions
Our Worldwide Missions involve national and international mission trips, financial support of missionaries through CBF Missions and SBC.
Haiti Mission Trip – FBC partners with Reciprocal Ministries International to connect with our "sister church" in Zanglais, Haiti. Our first annual trip to Haiti was in the spring of 2015. We are also participating in Hope For Kidz, a child sponsorship program created to meet the educational and physical needs of Zanglais Baptist Church children who would otherwise be unable to attend school due to their severe poverty.
CBF Bahamas – We have opportunities to share with the churches in the Bahamas through construction, theological training of both children and adults, and disaster response.
Eastern Cuba Baptist Convention – Since 2008, CBF Florida has had a relationship with eastern Cuban churches to support their ministries. In 2012, we supplied bicycles for pastors in the outlying area for transportation to their mission churches.
