FBC offers those with Special Needs a place to worship, learn and flourish in God’s love. Our Special Needs class offers socialization through Bible study, Bible stories that illustrate particular lessons about the life of Jesus, and God’s love for all of His children.
Our gifted teachers support new hobbies, assist in teaching appropriate behaviors, and discuss how to recognize community norms. Christian education is at the forefront of our efforts at FBC and in working with our Special Needs Group. We offer support designed to increase the individual’s independence and give them a spiritual base to rely upon. Incorporating music, art and craft projects, FBC offers those with developmental disabilities some new opportunities to grow and thrive.
Special Needs Sunday School and Bible Study meet each Sunday at 9 AM.
We always have a need for volunteers, particularly certified/licensed van and/or bus drivers in order to grow our ministry. If you would like to be a part of a rewarding ministry at First Baptist Church, you should consider volunteering with Special Needs – where the challenge is great, but the benefits are greater.
